The cold winter wind was ready to keenly penetrate a young and bare tree dangerously standing on the frozen hill of one wintry autumn day. The tree was trying to stand against the unceasing wind but its life was hanging in the balance. And yet, not ready to expose itself to the severe winter. It was just waiting for the spring to arrive and be alive again. The surprise attack of the wind quivers the crumbling branches of tree ceaselessly as if the wind was trying to jeopardize the tree’s life. But the young and lonely tree is strong enough to bear the threatening wind. The lonely tree reminded me of myself. As if it was trying to make me realize that I am an young adult who is trying to set a foot in a real society among many people. Above all, I am trying to protect myself against the sudden attack of reality and wishing for the warmth of my adolescence to continue. The demands from school, parents and myself are a constant stress like the cold wind that seems to never end. I am just wishing for all to stop one moment and bring me the warmth so I can firmly stand up by myself. The young tree must go through many hardships before becoming an adult tree like me who will go through countless of obstacles to enter into the world of reality. Still we are young and naive, we are just waiting for the moment of happiness to finally arrive.
